Magical Vacation

by the NWR Staff - February 26, 2001, 12:24 pm EST

Magical Vacation is being produced by the ex-Square staffers; members of the the "Secret of Mana" team. Featuring cross-dimensional hijinx, monsters and spell casters, Magical Vacation sounds like the ultimate RPG getaway.

Up until this latest wave of information, I didn’t really know all that much about Magical Vacation but I like what I see on Nintendo’s page about it.

Brownie Brown, a team who was -founded by four ex-Square members, who all developed “Secret of Mana”, is developing the game. If you ask me, that’s all you need to know. The game’s premise is equally enticing. Magical Vacation is the story of a group of mages who escape to a parallel dimension after their Magician School is attacked by monsters. There, they must learn to work together and develop their magical talents to survive in this foreign realm. The graphics look beautiful and the adventure sounds great.

The fact it is being developed by ex-Square members is definitely a selling-point, so it’s safe bet that Magical Vacation could be released in the US. The title “Magical Vacation” sounds a bit different than your usual RPG and will probably be changed if it does make it out. This may be as close to Square as we get for awhile and it looks great, so show some support!
