E3 2005 Award (no border)

Screw Breaker

The guys behind Pokemon came out to E3 this year, but left Pikachu behind. Their new game involves a girl in a robot, and she likes to drill things. This unique spin on the platformer gathered buzz among our staff over the course of the show, and anybody who touched it ended up loving it.

"It's just nice to see a completely new IP for GBA, especially from the company that's been busy making Pokemon for the past ten years." - Jonathan Metts

"I didn’t get too far into the game, but it’s a promising new concept, and the rumble pak really makes you feel like you’re drilling through walls." - Daniel Bloodworth

"Screw Breaker brings back the hidden wall-busting antics and exploratory platforming of Wario Land 2, adding its own drill-based platforming to the mix. Also, it isn't a Pokemon game!" - Michael "TYP" Cole
