Kratos is a mysterious mercenary who is hired to protect Colette on her journey. Though very wise, Kratos is often distant and not interested in the lighthearted conversation among other characters. He acts as Lloyd’s personal mentor, giving the youngster advice about combat and life. The other team members look up to Kratos as a source of maturity and strength, even though he seems to be protective of his vast knowledge.

As a magic swordsman, Kratos knows several useful spells and is even better than Lloyd at sword maneuvers. This combination makes him quite versatile in combat. He sometimes has problems with trying to use magic right after an up-close attack, because he’ll still be within the enemy’s range and thus, can be interrupted during the spell cast.
