The game makers are interested in using the console's special features too.
Developer ConcernedApe has announced that their indie farm simulator Stardew Valley is coming to consoles in Q4 2016, including the Wii U.
The developer also expressed interest in the "possibility of utilizing special console features like the Wii U’s second screen."
Originally released earlier this year in February, Stardew Valley frequently draws comparisons to the Harvest Moon series of farm simulation game, sharing aspects of farming simulation, dating, and other touchstones of the genre. Console development had been mentioned previously, though this is the first time more detailed information has been provided. Developer ConcernedApe said that they are working with Publisher ChuckleFish and studio Sickhead games to target the console editions of their indie title for this year.
