"Red Steel™: The only original first-person game built from the ground up and exclusively for the Wii™ launch."

So Red Steel is the only FPS at launch, eh? I wonder if that means Metroid Prime 3 isn't a launch game. Now I don't consider Metroid Prime an FPS but some people do so you never know. But then Ubisoft might not have any idea what other games are in the works anyway.

Oh and "Assassin's Creed" is a pretty cool name. Too bad it's being wasted on, you know, a Ubisoft game.

It's Rayman's Bad Fur Day!

Nothing too surprising, though I guess it's kind of new to play an assassin during the crusades. I wonder if getting hopped up on hashish will affect the gameplay.

Here's hoping that Free Radical game isn't just for consoles that have a 3 in them. I'd like to try a TimeSplitters game with the nunchaku.

Ian: Marketers will use any minor tweak of language to claim to be first at something. They're probably happy to use the FPA description for Metroid. Either that or they're assuming Retro is recycling some of the old Gamecube code (which they probably are; no sense wasting all that effort), so it's the "ground up" phrase that makes them "first."

That's possible, but their strategic use of the word original may just mean it's the only new FPS IP at launch.
But it's hard to say.

If MP3 uses a modified MP2 engine it's not "built from the ground up".

Hey, I'm a "landed imigrant" but even my understanding of English seems better than yours. Ok that was mean of me, but it's either that or I would smack Ian if he said that right next to me.

I'm assuming that COD is also a launch title but it isn't an "original first-person game built from the ground up and exclusively for the Wii™ launch", and that includes MP3. Do you get it now Ian?

I'm sure they have another "FPS" for wii. Wasn't Tom Clancy games confirmed for wii? I'm sure I heard they were. Also I thought I recalled Ubi having 2 "exclusive" games for Rev, one was Red Steel, the other??? Or am I just hallucinating?:p

What's Free Radical up to?

Zoonami's an empty fantasy.
