We just got a message from Nintendo that says the Nintendo DS consoles and software for the European launch are ready and waiting to be transported to stores all over Europe. Photos inside!

The brand new production line at the DS factory has been very busy producing up to 144,000 units of software a day to be ready for the European launch date on 11th March. There are now 650,000 Nintendo DS consoles and over 2.5 million games that are ready for distribution.

In the next few days the consoles and games will be taken by over 100 lorries to over 20 European countries where they will be placed on over 30,000 store shelves for the big day.

Wow! How'd you get these?

That Warioware case is really big for such a small game. Super Mario 64 DS had a much smaller case, why are the European box sizes different?

Looks the same size to me - just looks like the Game Card is at the bottom of the case instead of in the middle.

American game cartridges are about as big as Gameboy Advance boxes. In fact, I can give you exact measurements.

5 1/2 inches across (13 1/2 cm)
4 1/2 inches vertically (12 cm)
