Nintendo's going to have a host of celebrities ready for E3 this year, plus reality television!
As with every E3, companies pull out all the stops to impress the media. For the past few years Nintendo has gone overboard by giving away tons of awesome gear such as Game Boy Advances and WaveBird controllers. This year they're going even further, by bringing in a bunch of celebrities to show off their new games.
It all starts on May 13th at the Nintendo Media Briefing, where the company will show off their latest goods for the first time at this exclusive invite-only event.
On May 14th at 11am, Nintendo will be hosting a "Reality TV" Celebrity Challenge featuring stars from America's favorite Reality-TV shows, including "American Idol," "The Bachelorette," and "Mr. Personality." Celebrities transition from intense "Reality TV" competition to heated Nintendo video game challenges.
On the 15th, Nintendo will be hosting two more celebrity events. The first takes place at 11am. Not much is known about this event, except that it will be a celebrity challenge of a "different kind," will star some LA hometown favorites, and will be hosted by an "emcee one-of-a-kind." In the other event, which takes place at 1pm, celebrities take it from 'the ring' to the Nintendo GameCube at a celebrity challenge that's sure to separate the men from the boys. Armed with wireless WaveBird controllers and video gaming know-how, long-time rivals settle their disputes fair and square once Nintendo's video game champion is declared.
