Is it true? Yes! Well sorta....this is weird.

A bunch of cool GBA import news comes our way from NCSX. Sega is making a GBA accessory called the Light Boy. It will be available in Japan on March 21 at a price of Y2680. Basically it's a light for your GBA since it doesn't have a backlight. So when are we getting them Maracas Sega?

A few more notables...

-NCSX is listing Chu Chu Rocket ready for Japanese launch. (Y4800)

-Prices for Japanese GBA games range between a wide scope. Looking at April's titles, Success' wares are easiest on budgets with pricing at Y3980 (US$34) while Konami wrecks paychecks at Y5800 (US$50) for their GBA experiences. The rationale for lofty GBA cartridge pricing may be development costs for the new hardware and set-up expenses. When the GBA lands in wide distribution in the United States, NCS expects software pricing to move to the ~US$29 levels currently employed and enjoyed on the Gameboy Color.

-A smattering of new GBA cartridges descend on the handheld in April, led by Spiderman from Success and Good Cooking, Good Friend 2 from MTO. Food prep sims are surprisingly popular (Ore no Ryouri still sells whenever we can find this game) but NCS still waits for an Iron Chef simulation where the player battles Chen Kenichi, Sakai Hiroyuki, Kobe Masahiko, and Morimoto Masaharu. In our mind's eye, Chairman Kaga Takeshi would be the boss character who stands in your way to Iron Chefdom...

Konami represents in April with Get Backers Scaramouche and My Net Liebe. Publisher Jordan evolves the Global Hexcite license from the Color GB with Space Hexcite X and MTO pushes up with Friendly Pet Series 5. Finally, Success will also ship X-Men Simulation Acadamy (They have that Marvel comics theme going) and Elf promises Mahjong Paradise on April 27.

A final posting will be updated within the next couple of days as additional titles and dates are announced.
