New Super Mario Bros.

If it seems like it has been forever since a brand new side-scrolling Mario Bros. game has been released, that’s because it has been. This game is the first new entry to the series since Yoshi’s Island. Well, things are finally looking up, as this game takes everything that we’ve loved about Mario and amps up the classic 2D gameplay with snazzy 3D graphics. It’s the sort of thing that makes you feel all warm and nostalgic inside. Oh, and as if a brand new side-scrolling Mario game wasn’t enough already, there’s wireless multiplayer too.

"The simple but fun gameplay of New Super Mario Bros. won everybody over. It's exactly what everybody's wanted: a true Mario sequel, updated with today's graphical flair." - Jonathan Lindemann

" Mario returns to claim his rightful place at the forefront of action platforming games. Two-player simultaneous support is a welcome surprise, and it continues in Nintendo's style of competitive/cooperative multiplayer concepts." - Jonathan Metts

" Turning twisted platform stages into multiplayer races ought to have Popeye Rush for Spinach weeping in shame." - Daniel Bloodworth

" I don't care what those PlayStation generation gamers say: classic Mario platforming never became old. This game proves it." - Michael "TYP" Cole

"The teleporter blocks wreak havoc with the multiplayer, it's total chaos, and a total blast." - Mike Sklens
